• He grew up in a very middle-class, hard-working family. Being the second eldest of four children, he grew up taking life lessons from his father that the man should provide for his family. To this day, Reese is extremely old fashioned in that sense. Though he'd never tell a woman she couldn't work, he believes the man's place is to be the provider and lead by example.
• Spent the majority of his youth in Europe. Born and raised, mostly, in Manchester, England. But as he got older, he started venturing out from his home city. He's lived in Cardiff in Wales as well as London before moving to the United States.
• While his family still resides in England, he makes frequent trips - when he has the time - to visit. His family is incredibly important to him and even if he takes a few minutes out of his day, he makes it a point to call, check in, and ask if they need anything. With the position he's in at the current, Reese makes it a point to help his family back home as often as he can, since he's able to do so.
• Growing up, Reese was a bit of a problem child. He went through a phase of being unruly, mouthy, and incredibly foul to be around. He was always getting into fights, disliked school, and so on. But he broke out of that phase as he started getting older. To the current, Reese finds that being an educated, articulate, gentleman of sort gets you a lot further. As long as you're being genuine, of course. He doesn't really feel the need to be fake and "hard-assed", as many do these days. He's a very "take at face value" type of soul, you can either like him for him or just not bother him. Simple logic, really.
• Originally, Reese wanted to be a psychologist. But that plan got re-routed when he got interested in the sport of wrestling. He got interested just out of high school and ended up training at the Dropkixx Wrestling Training School in the UK. He debuted there in 2005. At first he wasn't too sure he could make a profession out of it - being the practical type - but he found a real niche for it after many grueling sessions. He found that the amount of pain, suffering and hard work that went into the time you spend between the ropes was as honest a living as a doctor or a politician, just in a different aspect, in a manner of speaking.
• Reese moved to the states in late 2006. He had relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, where he had tried out for and started working at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He was signed to a developmental contract with the WWE, where he debuted in OVW in mid-2007. His time in OVW was relatively short lived, but in the time he was there, he managed to acumulate a tag-team championship reign with former tag partner Paul Burchill. When WWE severed their ties with OVW as their developmental territory, Reese was one of a batch of up-coming talents that were re-located to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) which prompted him to move to Tampa, Florida.
• When he moved to Florida, he began work with FCW and debuted there in 2008. He's held championship gold in FCW, winning the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship along side current Smackdown! superstar Drew McInytre. He continuously trains at the FCW facility, and spends much of his time down in Florida perfecting his craft between the ropes.
• Reese was one of eight men named to the WWE NXT Season 1 roster. Under-going a number of name changes, Reese debuted on NXT in 2010 under the alias John Taylor, billed from his native Manchester, England. He is currently working along side Link (Espitalier) and the other Season 1 rookies in the NXT Invasion storyline that has taken over WWE Raw.
• Reese enjoys the outdoors, loves going fishing and to the beach. Is a big fan of boating and just being on the water, swimming, and what not. Is a fan of camping, and nature as a whole. He's an animal lover, to a grand extent, and is also fond of kids. He - at some point - wishes to have children of his own when his schedule isn't so demanding. Or when he finds a proper lady who could deal with his lifestyle, naturally.
• Is a bit of a hopeless romantic, in a lot of ways. And he's not particularly shy about this, either. He's the type of gent who still pulls out chairs and opens doors, respects women of all shapes and sizes, finding that they're, by far, God's gift to creation. He's a fan of personality and smarts over strict looks, being a man who has conversational standards. He could never date a woman who gets by on her looks alone, without a fair amount of substance behind it. He's a big time fan of small gestures to show affection, a rose, a kiss on the hand, a compliment where he feels it's deserved.
• May come off as unapproachable and incredibly serious, but underneath that outer shell there's a gent who loves laughter and loves life, in general. He's a laid back, classy individual. He was raised to treat people with the utmost respect and lives by the blade of the golden rule. He treats people how he wishes to be treated unless they go above and beyond to disrespect him. Then all bets are off. Can be a bit of an asshole when provoked but generally tries not to be.
• A lot of people generally think that Reese is a jerk because of how natural he comes off as such on screen. The truth of the matter is, Reese enjoys being a "bad guy" because it's fun to get people riled up. While on screen, John Taylor, is the epitome of a selfish, self-serving asshole, Reese is the complete opposite. He likes that steady medium, however.
